  1. A ball of foil will scrub away any burnt-on barbecue leftovers
  2. If your scissors are getting blunt, fold a piece of aluminium foil in half at least three times. Make several cuts with your scissors and they will be noticeably sharper.
  3. Use pieces of foil to cover the edges of your pie crust while it bakes to prevent it from burning.
  4. Need a funnel but don’t have one? Improvise with foil. Make a cone shape and fold over the edges to keep the shape.
  5. If you’re baking something that might spill over while cooking, line a baking tray with foil and place it in the oven below the dish you’re cooking. The spill will fall on the foil rather than your oven.
  6. Aluminium foil reflects heat, so place a sheet under your ironing board cover (shiny side up) for easier wrinkle removal.
