The mess-free way to dye dried pasta

1. Place one cup of dried pasta in a container that has a tight-fitting lid, or in a ziplock bag.
2. Add 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and enough food colouring to get the desired strength of colour.
3. Either shake the container or squish the pasta around in the ziplock bag until the pasta is evenly coloured.
4. Spread it out on a plate or greaseproof paper and leave to dry.

Once it’s dry, use it for a variety of activities and crafts. You can use different sizes and types of pasta such as spirals, bowties, shells, penne, macaroni and wheels.

7 crafty ways to use coloured pasta
