Suffering from colour selection stress when painting your home?

Let us give you some pointers to make the decision-making process a bit easier.

October 29, 2020

So, you've decided to give your home a bit of a face-lift with a change of colour. Now comes the difficult part - deciding on your new colour scheme. If you're feeling a bit overwhelmed by the huge number of colours available, here are 4 things to consider:

  1. Avoid white as it can seem impersonal and a bit clinical.
  2. Look at your furniture and decor; use these items to colour coordinate.
  3. Think about the purpose of the room. For example, family rooms can be vibrant, a bedroom should be calming and a kitchen bright and airy.
  4. Think about the size of the room. Darker colours are moodier and will shrink a space whereas light colours can really open up a space.

A professional painter will be able to offer some help and advice and make sure that once you have made your choice, the paint job will have a professional and long-lasting finish.
